Discover Your Eye Shape
Most people don't know what shape their eyes are.
While certain eye shapes are more common to specific races, it is still important to correctly identify your individual eye shape.
Once you have established your proper eye shape, it is easy to pick the Ricolia eyelashes that are best suited to enhance your beauty.
To discover your eye shape, find a mirror and check out our helpful descriptions below
ALMOND EYE SHAPE
Almond shaped eyes can be easily identified because the opening of the eye resembles the shape of an almond. The inner corner of the eye is pointed while the outer corner of the eye is slightly tapered and lifted upward.
Not only does the eye tend to be more of an angular shape than round, often both the top and bottom of the iris will be covered by the upper and lower eyelids.
If you have Almond shaped eyes, choose Ricolia Violet style eyelashes.
ROUNDED EYE SHAPE
Rounded shaped eyes can be easily identified by looking straight into a mirror. If the white of your eye is visible along the bottom of the iris when you are looking straight ahead, then you have Rounded shaped eyes.
Another indicator is that you are able to see the crease of your eyelid clearly when your eyes are open.
If you have Rounded shaped eyes, choose Ricolia Lilac style eyelashes.
HOODED EYE SHAPE
The main characteristic of the Hooded Eye shape is that the crease and lower eyelid are obscured by the upper eyelid.
Often the outer third of the eye is hidden by the overhanging upper eyelid, as well.
If you have Hooded eyes, choose Ricolia Lily style eyelashes.
MONOLID EYE SHAPE
The Monolid eye shape occurs when the fold of the eye is right at the eyelash line. There is no discernible crease in the eyelid area. Frequently the eyelid appears flatter and the brow bone will be less prominent.
While Monolid eyes are typical in Asian races, please do not automatically assume this is your eye shape simply because you are Asian.
If you have Monolid Eyes, choose Ricolia Lotus style eyelashes.
UPTURNED EYE SHAPE
Upturned shaped eyes are easily determined with the help of a mirror and a little imagination.
Draw an imaginary line across your eyes, starting from the inner corners of the eye. If the outer corner of your eyes is above this imaginary line then you have Upturned shaped eyes.
If you have Upturned eyes, choose Ricolia Lavender style eyelashes.
DOWNTURNED EYE SHAPE
Downturned shaped eyes are easily identified by using a mirror.
Imagine an invisible horizontal line running through the center of your eyes. If the outer corner of your eyes is lower than this imaginary line or lower than the inner corner of your eyes, you have Downturned shaped eyes.
If you have Downturned eyes, choose Ricolia Jasmine style eyelashes.
DEEP SET EYE
In the case of Deep Set eyes, it is less about the shape of the eye and more about the eye's positioning.
A Deep Set eye is located further back in the eye socket. This results in the brow bone appearing to overshadow the eye and possibly even hiding the eyelids. Deep Set eyes can be mistaken for Hooded eyes, however they do not have the "overhang" in the outer third of the eye that Hooded eyes possess.
If you have Deep Set eyes, choose Ricolia Azalea style eyelashes.
CLOSE SET EYE
Set eyes are not always readily apparent. It is possible to have Almond, Rounded, Hooded, or Deep Set eyes and also have Close Set eyes.
If you have Close Set eyes, this is the main factor that should be used to determine which style of eyelashes to purchase.
To find out if you have Close Set eyes, look in a mirror and measure the distance between the inside and outside corner of one eye, then measure the distance between the inside corners of your eyes.
Normally the distance between your eyes is the same as the length of one eye. If the distance between your eyes is less than the length of one eye, then you have Close Set eyes.
If you have Close Set eyes, choose Ricolia Orchid style eyelashes.
